Default Bet or C/R River

Villain is 20/12/3 700 mined hands

I would like to c/r this river but am worried that the 9 frightens villain and he will check through. Thoughts?

Bet, if he raises you, 3bet and call the cap. He doesn't have TT or QQ, his numbers seem solid, he actually raises a little TOO much PF. You have a great read on the guy, 700 hands. He woulda raised PF with a hand that beats you.

Check because he'll bet there a lot more often than not. Raise for value, and cap if possible.

I'd hate to see this river get checked through.

any decent hand reader will know we have J9/T9/Q9 when we donk the river. i'm not saying they won't call but i am saying they won't raise.

when we check, it looks like we're calling or folding basically. JT QJ KQ are all possible hands for us that we would check call down with and he should value bet his good stuff all the time.

Ya, actually I do like that line a lot better, hero looks scared on the turn.. He should get bet into for sure.

*grunch*

I hate that check/call on the turn. Villain is very aggressive so he might cap that flop with a flushdraw or a straight-draw for value or even with a TPTK. You are risking to give a free card on the turn. So I bet/call the turn and then bet out on the river. Trying a check-raise there is too risky. especially when the obvious draws didn't come in.
