Default Multitabling Question

I am switching from limit to NL and I was wondering how many tables I should be able to play. I have GT+ and PT, so I'm set as far as that goes. I was playing 6 tables at a time when I played limit. Should I expect to be able to play the same number at NL? This is full ring by the by. Thanks.

I definitely wouldn't start with 6. As a fellow limit convert, I had (and still have sometimes) trouble 4-tabling at first, just because the decisions you have to make typically require a little more time.

I'd start with like 2 or 3, and work up as you get comfortable.

Thanks. I figured I'd probably start with 3 and see how things went.

First off buy a copy of Poker Ace hud. It is worth it. Secondly, start off with fewer tables. You could try 1 for a bit while you try the demo of Poker Ace hud. The thing with No Limit is that 1 error caused from rushing can end up wtih a whole buy in down the tubes. While you are adjusting then take it easy and play 2 or 3 tables to start. You will also probably want to look into playing short handed at some point as most 2+2ers make the switch.

2-4 tables seems like a good start. Later on 12-tabling full ring should be no problem (still boring).

Miyogi, thanks for the advice. I'm actually very experienced with NL as it's all I used to play. I just never multi tabled before. Is SH that much more profitable?

That's why you need to have several sites open at once. Here's to >12 tables!!!

Bots can multitable limit, but they can't single NL. Start slow.
