Default Playing loose passive..

.. Gets me confused.

Should I just lead the flop to make it easier to play? Can't really see any other benefits to leading apart from gaining information, although better hands might not raise in this tiny pot.

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: (3.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, CO folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (2.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets, Hero was gonna calldown on a blank but folds??

unfortunately, once MP bets this particular flop 99% of his holdings have you crushed. plus the pot is super small. if the board were AK8 or AK9 i'd be more inclined to call down.

pot is small, open limping idiots love Ax. go with the conservative play and fold if you check.

I'd lead the flop with the hope of picking up the pot without a fight. Any callers and I'm c/f without any further reads on the players.

First of all, I check this flop every time. There is no point in betting. Your hand is too strong to bet IMO. If you have the best hand here, there are not many turn cards that can change that status. If I had Qx on an AQx flop I would also check here. The money you make in this situation in the long run will not come from betting and hoping lesser hands call you down. Your long term earn in this micro-sized pot comes from inducing lesser hands/bluffs to bet your hand for you. IMO, betting this flop is a mistake that many 2+2ers make. Once you check and someone bets, what I do here depends on my opponent type. If hes the type to take a stab at the pot and then give up on the turn, then I would checkraise the flop and take it from there. If hes the type to bluff more beyond the flop, then I would check/call the flop and keep the charade going.

So If I had check/called that flop, I would never check/fold the turn cuz that would mean im up against the type of opponent that will bet many lesser hands than me on the turn.

So overall sharpie, I dont like your play in this hand becuz IMO your flop play is inconsistent with your turn play, but I love your flop check.

I think he has you beat on this hand.
The pot is small, it is no idea to hang on to this. I would just check this one and fold to the bet.
