Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
I'm wondering what you think about two questions as far as guys getting a haircut.
1) How much should it cost? 2) Would you feel comfortable with a guy cutting your hair, or just a girl? For me personally, $15-20, (paid $40 today) and a girl (had a middle-aged gay latino guy asking me if I thought his nephews were hot today, although he did a really good job) |

Re: Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
This question is fairly lame because:
1) the girl/guy part is pretty irrelevant. It's not like you sit there and pop wood while the person cuts your hair. 2) "Guy only" should be a response. In particular, barbers are traditionally DUDES. The classic barber shop is run by dudes for dudes who want to escape women. Some stock Playboy for you to peruse while you wait to get trimmed. 3) The price is very dependent on the style. A guy getting a buzz cut is rarely going to pay over $20. It's like asking "So, should shirts cost over $35 or under $35?" |

Re: Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
11$ at beeks barber shop, I get to watch tv and he does a pretty good job. I've been to salons and paid ~25 for a haircut, and you do get better service with getting shampooed first and all that but I can't amagine that this is worth the 14$ difference.

A good haircut is one of the few things I'm willing to pay a premium price for.

A good haircut is one of the few things I'm willing to pay a premium price for. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the thing with haircuts is it's more about the quality than the price. Some guys just want to shorten their hair with clippers, and that's fine if you can make that work. Marines probably get their hair cut for free on base, and they probably pull plenty of tail. But if you want to actually get a hair cut and you don't want it to look all butchered, then all hair cuts are not alike. I happen to pay $40 + tip for my hair cuts. It's just a normal hair cut, but I've been going to the same person for years, and she does a good job every single time. So to me, that's worth it. |

Re: Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
here another question you should have asked
edit: the fifth choice should be "semi-monthly" or "once every two months" |

Re: Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
If your actually concerned about a guy cutting your hair then your probably in the closet and just don't want to admit it to yourself
Most men hairstylists are far better at cutting guy's hair than chicks. |

Re: Thoughts on Men\'s Haircut?
I cut my own hair now. I only cut it about twice a year, but I figure I'm saving $30 a year. It's pretty easy to cut your own hair.
I'm not very comfortable getting my haircut. I can never explain to them exactly what I want and then you have to deal with the dumb questions and awkward silences. One thing I miss about letting someone cut your hair: The goosebumps you get when they tug at your hair, and take a razor to your neck hair. Giggity. |
