Default OOT Beer Club!

Dooders,

I have previously been a straight Gin and Tonic person. That is changing because I found out I like Newcastle and Session, so I'm wondering what else is out there that might be awesome.

So, OOT. You like beer. You like attention, you like writing stuff on the tubes!

Pick a couple of beers (preferably new ones to you or ones that aren't super common), drink them, and post your review here.

I'd review mine, but I'm such a beer noob, that I'm not sure the best way to describe things. Can somebody that's more versed explain Newcastle and Session?

(also, yeah, beer makes me fat- I'm basically not planning on doing much drinking for like at least two months, so this is more about building up a catalog of ideas than anything else)

lol @ beef club. I thought this was going to either be a thread about how much you love beef or about current beefs in OOT.

I really thought I was going crazy for a second with the whole beef / beer transition.

Dibs,

I have started drinking more stouts over the last couple of years and really like them.

Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout is a favorite.
Murphy's Irish Stout is another.

My local brewpub did an Imperial Russian Chocolate Stout (darker and heartier than those two) that was insanely good.

When I last drank beer, I was a "if you can see through it, it's piss" guy and all I drank was porter and stout. It was Session that made me realize I might like lighter beers again.

KBZ,

I don't think it has to be an enemy at all. I will enjoy reading Wookie and others write paragraphs about beer. I'm not going to do that, though, and think this is a great thread to just write a line or two about great beers others might not be familiar with.
