Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
At lower limits my standard is to check the turn but in a 50 game against presumably aggro showdown monkey opponents your bet and subsequent calldown of a checkraise seems standard to me.

Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
I always bet this and call down if raised. Not only in a 50 game.

Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
Keep in mind, he's putting you on AK. There are so many middle pairs that are going to showdown or even checkraise against you on this board.

Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
So, the villian open raises and calls your 3 bet AFTER BB calls 2 more. You have KK, so I think we can discount AA here as it should have 4 bet. Villian is less than 5% likely to hold a Q, but if he did, why wouldn't he raise after BB folded out of the action?
Bet the turn for value & I'm assuming villian c/r'ed you. In this situation, I'm tempted to 4 bet here. If you are raised by a TAG, then he prolly has the Q. If he calls & checks the river, I'm betting any non-A. |

Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
I don't like a 4-bet - there is very little value as villain will often fold right away with anything that you beat. You get more bets if you keep them firing away with TT or whatever, plus you get to see a showdown.

Re: plz help with this standard KK situation
by the way i originally hated 3betting a turn raise. now that i think about it its probably close to the same EV of just calling down.
