Default extended desktop background

i'm looking for a piece of software/how to make a desktop background and the desktop bar extend over x monitors. also, some nice landscape pics that would look good with 3 20" monitors would be super. thankth.

http://interfacelift.com/ is a good site for backgrounds. I have to give credit to the guy that posted the link (sorry I don't remember his username) but he's got a dog for the avatar and has 1 30" monitor and 2 20's surrounding it.
