Default i dont get clarkmeistered

i had no read at this moment. maybe loose, passive, fishy (actually i have 21 hands on him and he is a big fish - maybe not as big as me )

Cryptologic
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $2/$4
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
4 folds, SB calls, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>, SB calls.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2SB, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, SB calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2BB, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, SB calls.

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4BB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets</font>, <font color="green">Hero raises?</font>

can i really bring a better hand (maybe even a spade??) to fold? maybe 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]; 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]?
fold the river like smoove?
or just call?

Loose passives call down -don't try to bluff raise them off pots.
Do this against a known someone with a low WTSD%. With a raise you are betting 2BB to win 5BB and need to have someone fold around 23% of the time to make it worth you while.

I would say most of the time this is just spew. But against a specific this might work, the one outlined is not the opponent.

Call the river. He is bluffing often enough to make it worthwhile, but I doubt a better hand is folding (maybe 67 no spade) and any worse hand is definitely folding. His hand range is weighted too heavily towards flushes to warrant a bluff.

You are risking 1 BB to win 5 BB if you raise (it is a marginal 1BB more than calling, which is going in regardless). I don't think there are enough better hands he folds because your hand is too strong relative to the kind of hands that do fold.

I would also just call. I'm sure as hell not gonna fold in that spot again anytime soon!

getting 5:1 I don't think you are good often enough against a loose passive.

You have to be good around 17% of the time.

Even loose passives bluff at rivers like this, because they think that they would fold to a bet there so you should to. If he was bluffing he will stomp his feet and demand to know how you can call with that.

yeah, i believe i f'ed this one up. i should have called.
in the heat of the moment, i thought two things: this player could be bad enough to pay me off with a worse hand (he could be bluffing and wants to know what i raise with - they always want to see your cards) and maybe, maybe he fold a babyflush (3-5).

results:
<font color="white"> villain calls and shows Qd7s and carries the BBs away</font>

Looks pretty poor when both the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and the K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] are on the board. I think a fishy, and a not so fishy, villain will definately call when he has the flush.
