Default Is Suiting Up Overdoing it?

I am about to graduate with my masters degree and am going to be looking for a corporate job of some variety over the next six months. Is wearing a suit overdoing it? If not what brand/style of suit does OOT suggest?

You just got your masters degree and you have to ask if wearing a suit to an interview is overdoing it??

Assuming you're not going to put your degree to work as a waiter, yes, you should probably wear a suit to interviews.

Wearing a suit and tie is mandatory.

Suit? Any job that you can't get with cut-off jeans and a tank top isn't worth getting.

Better to overdo it than underdo it.

I really really dont think this is a valid excuse. One more reason why a college education does not make you smart.

assuming you arent rich (most grad students arent), just walk into a jos a bank and tell them you want a suit, tell them your price range, and let them show you stuff. then pick one you like.

for your first suit (cant imagine how you got this far without one, but grad students are strange beasts), just get something plain like a charcoal or a black, no stripes.
