random floor question (low content)
this event happened around a year ago so i don't remember the full details, another friend brought it up so i was curious as to what you guys all thought.
a friend of mine and i are playing at a riverboat casino in indiana, a 5/10 NL game 500 max. anyhow, a hand comes up where someone makes a decently large pf raise, and my friend and i call. the flop is Axx. now i forget precisely what i had, it may have been a draw, or it may have been a weak ace. anyhow, i make a read that original pf raiser does not have an ace, but a big pair. so i check, my friend checks, and the pf raiser bets, and i move in. now my friend goes into the tank thinking whether to call. the pf raiser says aw [censored] i'm beat, and while my friend is thinking, lays the KK down faceup. my friend has AQ, which then prompted him to call my all in, deducing that AK was a much less likely holding for me to have. should i have called the floor on this? and what should have been the floor's decision on the hand? |

Re: random floor question (low content)
heh we're competitive, we actually want to take each other to the felt, as sick as it may sound. however, i think in this case, i think he had extra information that was unfair.

Re: random floor question (low content)
You and your friend did nothing wrong. The other guy on the other hand did. What the floor would rule is hard to say, could be anything from... nothing, warning, dead hand and a boot out the door. Personally I think KK gets a stern warning and his hand killed because there is significant action that his tabling his hand efects. He does it again, and he gets the boot.
BTW, if you and your friend don't play for real against each other, you are just asking for problems, good job keep it up. |
