Weak hand OOP faces big river bet with flush threat
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
BB ($32) UTG ($1.90) UTG+1 ($45.25) MP1 ($24.35) Hero ($39.62) MP3 ($39.54) CO ($32.15) Button ($7.25) SB ($11.84) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10. UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 1 fold</font>, Hero raises to $0.5</font>, MP3 calls $0.50, 2 folds</font>, SB (poster) calls $0.40, 1 fold</font>, UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25. I minraised here to build a pot, table was very tight. Flop: ($2.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)</font> SB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $2</font>, MP3 calls $2, SB folds, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds. I probably should bet more here, but this is > 2/3 of pot and isn't giving draws a decent price. Turn: ($6.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font> Hero bets $5</font>, MP3 calls $5. Almost a full pot bet here. Should I over bet the pot because of the double flush draw? When I'm called here, I'm a little worried. River: ($16.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 players)</font> Hero checks, MP3 calls $32.04 (All-In), Hero ... The spade draw hit. There are not a lot of hands I beat, just bluffs. The over bet is a little fishy though. I was definitely lost on the river- any comments? |

Fold river. Bet more on flop. Your small bet does give proper implied odds to draw.

Raise more preflop something like $1-$1.5 or limp (i'd prefer to raise). Listen to Grunch for postflop play

Fold river. Bet more on flop. Your small bet does give proper implied odds to draw. [/ QUOTE ] You also have way too many people left to act behind you. While you may be giving the FIRST person incorrect (immediate) odds to call with a draw, if he calls anyway, everyone else who acts after him WILL have correct odds. |
