Default I just totaled my truck....What is my play?

I have an old truck(95 Nissan) that I mainly use for hauling trash to the dumpsters(Mississippi has not discovered Curb Side Service yet), and loading gardening supplies.

Well one of my front tires had a bubble in it, so I figured it was time to just get new ones. I took it to Wal-Mart to get 4 new tires.

An hour and a half later I paid and left. I came out of Wal-Mart hopped on the interstate and 3 miles down the road my right front tire flies off and sending up a shower of sparks and slamming my truck into the concrete wall at about 60mph before coming to a stop and catching on fire.

I am fine(for once) but the truck is no more.

So it is quite obvious that Walmart forgot to tighten the lugs on my right front tire.

The truck had 250K miles on it.

I showed the officer my reciept from less than a half hour before.

What is my play here?

Lawsuit.

Get pictures of the lugs. They could have not tightened them, or over-tightened them.

With the reciept and accident report, you'll probably have lawyers beating down your door.

A friend of mine who owns a flatbed wrecker came and got it. So I definately can get pictures tonight.

Since I have no physical injuries what exactly do I sue for besides the value of the truck, which is not much.

Yep, take lots of pictures and get a lawyer; this could have been a lot worse.

You can now live the American Dream by sueing them, and living off the expense of a giant corporation.

What can you sue for? Emotional damage that you will never feel safe on the road again.

Um...I hope you got a police report filed. Yea, you should be able to get your vehicle's worth and then some I would think.

Since you are now afraid to drive or even travel in a car, you will need a lot of counseling and at least $1 billion before you will feel comfortable driving/riding in a car again.
