Default I have TPTK and they\'re taking shots at me on every street...

Online 5-10...UTG is loose preflop, and will bet/raise with zilch on the expensive streets heads-up. No read on UTG+1 or the SB. The BB is a very loose-passive PF, more ABC post-flop.

Preflop: chesspain is in the CO with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 4 folds, chesspain raises, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (10 SB) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, chesspain raises, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG calls, UTG+1 reraises, chesspain calls, SB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (11 BB) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, chesspain bets, SB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, chesspain calls, SB calls, UTG calls.

River (19 BB) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 folds(!), chesspain calls, SB folds.

Final Pot: 21 BB

Obviously, I was pretty dazed by the time I got to showdown.

At first I was thinking that you were mistaken to just peel the flop three bet, but assuming you were planning on raising a UTG lead on the turn, I like it.

I think the turn and river are fine. I think there's too much balls in his turn FPS to put him on just a two pair often enough.

Remember there are two different principals here--UTG+1 (flop and turn) and UTG (river).

Yes. I think that by peeling the flop three bet and keeping UTG 1 in control of the pot, you'll have a better chance at protecting your hand on the turn versus sb and UTG.

I don't understand.

Your play looks good, except that I would probably raise UTG on the river. If he had JT and flopped the nut straight, and didn't show aggression until he had an A-high straight, well, he's an idiot.

The only hand that makes sense here is two pair, unless he slowplayed AA or another set. A9?

Exactly the way I would have played it. I'd still expect to loss to J10.

Default A puzzle question...

The results will come later. But first, any conjecture about the hand that UTG+1 played so strongly on the flop and turn, yet folded on the river for one bet rather than get himself possibly sandwiched between UTG and me?

Assuming he wasn't 'tarding it up with something like KJ (TP + gutshot), I can envision one hand that he could have had, and played not incorrectly, from start to finish.

I really dont think you can play this any differently, especially given UTGs read

KQ, K9, Q9 are all likely candidates.

It takes a great player to put you or UTG on aces up, and give up at the river, tho.
