Default Sneakers and Pseudo-Sneakers

It does make me feel slighly womanly, but I really enjoy shoes, especially sneakers. My fondness for white sneakers is a gift and a curse, because I am ecstatic with a new pair for about a week, then they get dirty and my ecstasy changes to despair. Anyway, are there any other 2+2 sneaker freaks? Any favorite brands or styles?

Also, I am thinking about buying these ($75) with a Burton gift card I got for Christmas (Gravis is owned by Burton):

Thoughts?

Well... Uhm... They look like they were probably pretty cool when they were new!

I highly recommend getting a pair of Chacos. They're (expensive) sandals with one strap running through the sole, so they can't pull on your foot in any specific spot without adjusting through the rest of the fitting. They're great. I wear mine ~200 days a year.

I too am far too womanly with my love for sneakers. I have about 12 pairs in rotation and obsesively clean them after every wear for the first month, sometimes I won't even wear a new pair after awhile. That first permanent dirt mark or scratch is very depressing The sad thing is I try to keep one of most common colors

Man I love these. I used to be a huge sneaker fiend when I was young and owned these the first time around (mid 80's). I wish I could find a pair of orange and white dunk highs like I used to have. Sigh . . .
