Default TP+OESD vs. aggression; turn play

Live 2/4 game at the Taj In AC. 10 handed.

Button, SB, and MP1 are all lags. CO is a tag. The rest of the table has been weak and loose. CO and SB both have *huge* mountains of chips, CO because hes the best player at the table; SB because he does things like make straight flushes after calling UTG with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I don't have much of a read on button other than he likes to see lots of flops.

Hero is BB with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop: 3 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: (5 players, 5 SB) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, CO calls, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (5 players, 7.5 BB) J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero...?

Most of the weak players weren't involved in this hand, so I wasn't sure what to do here.

either bet, or check raise if you're sure someone will bet (preferably the button, if MP1 bets you can't c/r) If nobody bets not all is lost as you also get a free card for the straight. But it would suck to give KQ/Ax a free card. The button might have been raising for a free card, but he'll prolly bet if it's checked to him. That'd be perfect. Be careful tho, since nobody raised preflop there's a higher than normal chance someone has a J as well, and it will be with a higher kicker than your 7.

I wouldn't 3-bet the flop because you could fold out the two callers in between.

When the J hits on the turn I go for a check/raise on the LAGgy button.

if they call a lot 3 betting the flop is an option. would be a value bet. but you have to be careful since its only a 1 card straight. Don't count it as 8 outs. But even for 6 it would be value. so nice option. (and getting a JQ to fold would be awesome)

either a bet or a check raise are good here in my opinion. I like a check raise because you really would like to knock out CO or MP1.

I actually checked, and it got checked around behind me.

River card brought a king, it got checked to the button who bet, and I made a crying call (the other 3 folded). He had AK.

So I was a little pissed at myself for checking the turn allowing him to take a free card.

I would have bet the river if the turn got checked through.

[/ QUOTE ] I love it. The pot is big and you want to maximize your chances of winning it. You want overcards to fold and there is a great chance to get a better J to fold. Plus if everyone calls, its okay. I think three-betting the flop is good.
