Default Watching elite backgammon players

There has been a lot of talk recently about backgammon, particularly about which are the best opening moves and general bg strategy.

If you didn't know, it the backgammon world championships are taking place in monte carlo this week.

You can watch some of the world's best players by going to truemoneygames and downloading the software.

I have just watched a fantastic match between Paul Magriel and Sven Rumcker that went down to the wire.

Lots of good learning there if you're interested.

The next match is at 11 o'clock European time.

It's between Lawrence Powell and Mike 'Falafel'.

The magriel match was awesome - 19 point game that went all the way.

I will sleep soon

You can get a huge selection of classic matches between top players at www.thegammonpress.com. They're available either in printed form or as Snowie matches with Snowie analysis attached.

There will be a full DVD of the event available shortly, and prehaps a 10 minute clip that can be posted on youtube or something similar.

PM me for details, or I'll put the info here when I have it.
