Re: 10/20 QQ Preflop vs HEK
Impossible to answer without reads/more history and just generally how UTG tends to play.
But, fwiw, a 3-bet from utg+1 vs UTG isn't noway near the same as button 3-beting vs cutoff obviously, so it's much more likely HEK has a REAL hand here (I just don't know how good on average because of lack of information since that is also very much based on UTG), but obviously he probably doesnt have a NIT-range for this (AA/KK/(AK) for this. I just call here. If you only afterwards proceeded to see UTG playing like a real rock, then you were probably in trouble in this hand lol. Without more info I just call here, but I must really emphasize how you really need more information to go on here to be able to make a correct/good answer. |

Re: 10/20 QQ Preflop vs HEK
i think a cold call is terrible because after the flop you have no information and you're put in a bad position... say it comes 7-5-2 and you get a big bet from holdemkilla..what do you do? Raise to 700 or just fold...this is a guessing game depending on how holdemkilla views you..and what he will 4 bet with here....

Re: 10/20 QQ Preflop vs HEK
Hmm... 7% PFR% over 4500 hands for HEK, that has to point towards a pretty tight 3betting range..

Re: 10/20 QQ Preflop vs HEK
Jman,
Without a super duper read, I just call in your spot. To any thinking villian, a flat call by you is gonna look pretty scary. Therefore, he should know you have a big hand which will make the flop/turn a bit easier to play. |
