Default NYC Pizza poll

This is a prelude to a grand forum-uniting pizza post I have in progress. Pizza is the answer to a lot of things.

This specific pizza poll has to do with New York pizza. For a long time, people have told me how great Grimaldi's is, including a number of recent OOT posts. I found myself in Brooklyn Heights this weekend, just a few blocks away from Grimaldi's, so I decided I should give it a try.

We had two pizzas there. One, sausage and onions, the other pepperoni, anchovies, and olives. Both were good, but definitely nothing deserving of the ridiculous line outside and imo were not as good as some other pizzas I've had in New York. So, for those of you who have had a lot of NYC pizza, please offer your thoughts.

Can I vote for the one with the coolest name?

P.S. if you wanted to make a show me results radial, you should have created a second question with one answer.

Polltard.

Be careful, I heard [censored] is thinking about holding a weekly poll to vote off the creator of the worst forum-uniting pizza thread.

I voted Grimaldi's. I like the nice thin crust. I have eaten at John's (very good as well), but not Lombardi's.

I'm from Chicago and I had some "good" pizza in NJ over the 4th holiday. It sucked. I would assume/hope it's not an indication of NYC pizza.

I've always been a big fan of DiFara's in Brooklyn. It's a bit of a trek, but definitely an excellent pie. In the city, I like John's and Lombardi's (The one I go to depends on the mood I'm in).

Edit: El Diablo, if you are in Brooklyn, it is definitley worth the trek to check out DiFara's. It's at 1424 Ave. J in Brooklyn. I think it's off the BQ line (I haven't been there since the trains changed).

Guiseppe's on Lexington between 39th and 40th. The best slice of cheese pizza I have ever had in my entire life.

Has anyone else ever tried this place? I'm curious to hear if others agree.

The margarita slice at 33rd and 3rd is quite good.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a slice at J/G/L.

Grimaldi's
Lombardi's

Haven't been anywhere else. The difference between them is negligible imo however.
