Default why aren\'t dealers accountable?

I was playing a couple days ago, and the dealer flips over one of my down cards - it's an ace to go with my other ace. of course, I can't keep the exposed card, so I get another damn card instead. it also turned out that the hand was raised PF - and a A came on the flop.

the dealer screwed up here. they are always looking for tips for dealing well, why not a compensation for the player when the F up? AA is worth what - 3BB?

because who would then deal?

Dealers are accountable. At least in Las Vegas where players will avoid casinos with bad dealers and floor people will reprimand and fire dealers as needed.

I thought you were about to post a legitimate dealer error.

Isn't the situation you described sort of like when the player before you in bj hits and takes your card? Was it really your card?

In your situation what if your set of aces on the flop got run down on the river by a flush? I'd say you owe the dealer a few BB.

Cliff notes: play online.

not really. the cards get dealt out in the same order and i just get the 21st card.

i just think it was an error caused by the dealer not payng attention to what he was doing. funny part is that if he dealt me the jackpot, he would expect a big tip.

So if the exposed card was a deuce and was replaced with an ace, giving you AA, would you tip triple? or 3 BB?

The point is that the cards are no less random with the error, which is also random. There is as much chance of the misdeal helping you as it was hurting you. A better analogy would be if you were playing craps and got mad at the roller for unintentionally throwing the dice a little to the left or something to that effect. It's a mistake that although it may change the outcome, does so in a way that is no less random than the original outcome.

I think you should have crushed the dealer's hand with a hammer.
