Default Ned.

11 days ago, I brought home my Australian Cattle Dog mix. His name is Ned. He is about 4 months old.

Ned is a sweetheart and likes to think about things. Sometimes those things surprise him.

But he doesn't take them too seriously.

I mean, life is pretty good, eh?

Important facts about Ned:

Ned was raised in the country. He had never seen a fire hydrant before I brought him home.

Ned can jump over the back of my couch from the ground.

Ned has liked every person he's had a chance to meet, but he is getting over his fear of dogs.

Ned is mainly cattle dog but also part something else that they could only guess at at the shelter. Jack Russell Terrier? Whippet? Everyone has theories.

Ned will work for cheese. It does not make his stools loose.

Women love Ned, and men want to be his friend.

Please ask me questions about Ned so that my post may have many replies.

Since Ned was bred to be a working dog, does he get plenty of exercise and lots of things to occupy his mind with?

Ned chewed through the power cord for a Dell 2001fp at work. Ned got an electric shock. Ned doesn't chew on cords no more.

2. Is Ned house trained?

Ned is willing to pee outside. In a week he's pooped outside twice. He's much happier peeing and pooping in my bedroom.

Ned likes string cheese, which Google happily provides free of charge.

What are his favorite things to hump?

Ned has yet to hump anything while I've been in sight. Ned has been fixed, so maybe that's it.

Ned gets a 10-15 minute poopy walk when I get up, a 30-45 minute walk in the morning, a 30-45 minute walk in the afternoon/evening and a poopy walk at night. If I have time, we go to the dog park where he happily chases the ball.

Ned will be protected from poker for as long as humanly possible.
