(22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
Anyone differ from this? I dont know what purpose the T415 PF raise serves... didn't want to go 3 handed with QQ though... but after a donk bet like that I have to call villains re-raise right?

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
I would just have pushed tha hand first time it comes to me, and be happy to pick up the 400 chips. At least I would have raised more than you did. As played your call looks fine. Soetimes UTG has FPS and limp with a high PP here, but most times he's just pissed of to not getting to see the flop cheaply...

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
Push when it gets to you. 415 is not a big enough raise here, and a big enough raise is big enough that pushing is the way to go.

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
I make it 800 preflop and push any flop, i call the utg all day at this level it's a bad ace or weak pair far too often to turn loose of the ladies.

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
you are correct, morph... my first instinct would be to bet 800, but then I'd be mad that I only left myself with 1k behind. so I'd prolly push it PF and wait for the call by Ax.

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
Betting 800 and pushing any flop is pretty awful IMO. If you get called you've got a pot of around 2000 and 1000 behind so your committed even if it comes ace-high. A rule I read here somewhere and one that I stick to is, if a bet is more than 35% of your stack, just push.

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
The raise to 415, imho, is even worse than limping. You are just asking to play a huge pot against multiple donks, which is a disaster for your hand. You are lucky someone re-raised and you ended up HU.
You need to make a big raise or just push. |

Re: (22 reg) QQ early vs. random donkey
With QQ, do we want to push everyone out or are we value betting? We probably don't want to be 5-way, but I sure would like to grab some more chips with my premium hand. I'd raise a bit more than you did (3x blind + all bets so far = 600). Then I'd insta-call the re-raise by UTG.
