Default Straddling in NL

When you "straddle" in no limit, its really just a blind bet, because you don't get the option. Theoretically.
At Soaring Eagle casino in Michigan, they actually give you the option.
Does anyone think that straddling is +ev under this set of rules?

Normally you do receive an option.

i overheard some wannabe asking the floor at my fav casino the other day "do you allow blind straddle here?". floor said no. after the player left, i told the floor he was wrong. if some clown wants to put money in blind, its perfectly legal, blind straddles are allowed here, they just arent live. he agreed.
(true story)

I would said a live straddle is more common than a dead one - people still like those dead straddles though

When I was at the Rio last week a guy posted a dead straddle about 6 orbits in a row, if they would have been live straddles i think he would have kept doing them

Live straddle in NL is common (especially in the low limits I play). It is indeed live (i.e. option to raise preflop). It is only live if posted UTG, of course. Dead raises/bets are allowed as well (at least at Venetian where I play).
