Re: 50nl 6m - AA vs raise postflop
Re-raise to see where you are. I would be scared of KJ for a call and call of a raise of that size.

Re: 50nl 6m - AA vs raise postflop
Without reads, his raise could mean anything, from "take that continuation bet and shove it" to "let me find out where I'm at" to "TPTK" to "set" to "two pair", and all the other possibilities. But you have AA and you're ahead of a raising range but there are lots of possible draws out there too so raise pot, to about all in.

Re: 50nl 6m - AA vs raise postflop
Call and c/r all in on the turn is best IMO
3bet pushing is okay too... on this board, KJ probably takes my money. |

Re: 50nl 6m - AA vs raise postflop
Microlimits, but eerily similar:
Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.02/$0.05 6 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $9.91 UTG+1: $5.08 CO: $3 Button: $3.55 SB: $5.36 BB: $2.26 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises to $0.25, UTG+1 calls, 4 folds. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($0.57, 2 players) Hero bets $0.6, UTG+1 raises all-in $4.83, Hero calls. I had made so many cont-bets so I figured super-aggressive Villain thought I had missed the flop... Not that reads are important in a game where people are willing to risk their stack with middle pair, no kicker on a board with all kinds of monster possibilities. |

Re: 50nl 6m - AA vs raise postflop
anyone who raises $12 to "see where they are" with a $50 stack will not last long.
You are out of position and therefore cannot call. It is entirely believable you have at least a pair of kings. At small limits I find a large reraise on a flop with a flush draw means that person is afraid of the flush most times. There are a lot of hands he could have limp called with preflop that now have you soundly beaten, and even if he has a hand like 10 J clubs he has a lot of outs. I would tend to fold in the absence of any reads. I think he flopped a monster and is trying to get your stack. |
