Great deal on a Samsung 204B
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001226
I'm pretty sure this is as good or better than the deals that Dell periodically offers for its 20.1" LCDs (2001FP/2007FP). Under $300 is just a steal for a monitor like this. |

Re: Great deal on a Samsung 204B
WOW! Thanks gurgeh! I was thinking about picking up another and I think this is likely going to be the best time to do so.
The real question is if I should buy it locally for instant gratification or order it online and save on sales tax... |

Re: Great deal on a Samsung 204B
mini-hijack: Can anyone comment on the stability of the 204B? Maybe it's just the pics, but to me it seems like the base is ridiciulously small (i.e. the width of the base, the footprint) compared to the monitor. I realize the base is made of a heavier material, but I still have concerns it might become top heavy and fall over since the footprint is so small (compared to something like the 2001fp which seems to have a much larger/wider base)
Thanks, J |

Re: Great deal on a Samsung 204B
jasonHoldEm,
I went out and bought another one today. I have no problem with either and both are solid. I have not had problems with either of the two I own. I have not found dead pixels on either monitor and both show no signs of wobble on my desk. I am very happy with both of them. The only complaint I have is that the viewing angle sucks compaired to the 204t, but that's the price you pay to get a 5ms response time. The angle never bothers me when I'm using the computer, only when I'm trying to look from 15 feet away or so, and then I don't care because I want to be able to play games. (Natural Selection and HL:2, no problems.) Hopefully that will answer your questions. |

Re: Great deal on a Samsung 204B
I got mine last week, I posted the thread here --- slightly better deal.
For $327 after tax and CA monitor fee included($35). Well, only 2 dollars cheaper. |

Of 94 reviews on the site linked, im sure they can answer your questions. [/ QUOTE ] There's a reason I ignore the reviews on newegg I'll purchase from them if they have the best price, but I prefer to get unfiltered/unbiased opions (like what I'd get by asking a simple question from people who happen to own the product in question)...but whatever, I'm probably going to save my FPP's for the 244T anyways. cheers, J |
