Default JJ with Ace on the flop 3 handed

BB is 66/13/1.0 Button is 37/0/.9
BB is obviously no TAG, but is a thinking player. Button is a total fish.

Not the insightful answer I was looking for. Obviously it looks like an easy fold. The preflop action is confusing because what kind of hand is our fish limping with on the button and then cold calling two raises back to him, and then calling along with thus far? Also, what is BB 3-betting and then just calling on the flop when an ace hits. I didn't think there were any Aces or 9s out there with the tameness of the postflop action.

Sorry, just seemed ultra standard. I'd guess BB is slowplaying the flop. I just can't imagine your jacks are good on the turn here.

This is a fairly dry board. There really aren't any draws on the flop. Whatever draws there might be are definitely gone on the turn.

On the turn, you'd expect calls from As and raises from 9s.

So why did you check the turn, other than being convinced you're behind and ready to fold to a bet?

I WAS convinced that I was behind. The bet/call, didn't tell me that for sure though. Remember that fish is calling with anything, and BB is pretty aggressive.

FWIW (Im going to bed soon)

I hesitate and call and its check through on the river.

BB has TT
Button has 88
MHIG.

Is that just a very rare case, making this still an easy fold? I guess thats my question.

You might fold QQ and occasionally KK this way. When they RR you're drawing very slim.

Preflop: Inadvisable to cap JJ OOP. What are you going to do if an OC comes?

Flop: Check

Turn as Played: Fold
