Default how\'s this line?

working off my pokerroom bonus. the limit hold'em tables there are way tight, average VPIP is 27%

Thought i could take this pot down with some aggression. It has worked before. What would you do at a table full of tight-weakies?

My thinking was as follows. The table texture was mildly dry, with a flush draw and a straight draw out, although the straight is insane low, limiting the possibilties of this draw being out (considering the tight opposition) I won't get the flush out no matter what I do - I was not concerned about that. But the pair on board lowers the liklyhood that anybody caught a piece of the flop. THe PFraiser could have a big pair, but card distribution says he's more likely to have two big overs.

I like it. It's difficult argue with success though. I think you may have been better off cutting the action after you raised.

could you explain what you mean? everybody folded, what else could I have done?

And yes, hard to argue with success - but I'm taking about my "thinking" while at the table ... etc.

Not shown that they all folded.

What he means is if you delete the hand history after your turn raise. That way you don't show that everyone else folded and you can get some unbiased comment on the line.

Speaking of which. There is probably nothing wrong with this but what is your plan if you get called? Get 3-bet? This can be an expensive line if you try to continue the bluff too long.

nice job. you recognized a good bluff/semi-bluff opportunity, went for it, and it worked out...

you are in the big blind, so your range of holdings is much wider than others at the table...with the flop that hit, it is probable that all the others missed the flop...the board is paired, which also is another element lending support to a bluffing opportunity...its early in the hand, not a large field and the table is playing tight, not a very large pot, and the preflop raiser is the button, who you follow after the first betting circuit...he helped you with a bet before you...must confess i am a bit surprised the button folded, but your check-raise sent a powerful message to him...hands like this feel just as good as drawing out a good sized pot!
