Fold preflop w/o a read. [/ QUOTE ] ^^ (edit to add: if you're not folding because you have a read, this read will usually encourage you to 3bet instead.) Postflop is ok if SB is unknown. You can frequently fold to the turn c/r though.

I agree with fold, but curious doesn't the short handed play allow more diverse hands?
I only play full ring atm and have no experience in short handed games.
