Help Me Order Blank Checks
It's time to order blank checks again. I just go for the plain-Jane light blue background. I like to get the printable sheets that have 3 perforated checks per page, with tear-offs to the left of each check in case I hand-write a check and want to make note of it. I print the checks directly from Quicken.
I'm looking for some alternatives to ordering blank checks directly from Intuit, whose price, including shipping and tax, has gone over $60 for 250 checks. Any good suppliers you recommend? And as an aside, what do you like to have in the background of your checks? And do you include your address and phone number on your checks? |

Re: Help Me Order Blank Checks
I reorder my checks from whatever ad I see in the Sunday paper whenever I need new ones. I like introductory pricing. I think the last place was Image Checks. There's a tab on top for your business checks. I took a quick look and if I chose the right kind, it looks like about $60 for 300, including shipping.
I have regular checkbook checks and I have Scooby Doo on this set. In the past, I've had Muppets and smiley faces. Edit: Yes to address, no to phone number. And for everybody looking to open a checking account, start your checks with a high number like 1001. I know some establishments used to decline checks with low numbers. |

Re: Help Me Order Blank Checks
Wow, $60 for 250? I think I got like 500 for $20 the last time I ordered checks. Can you do it through your bank?

http://www.citm.com [/ QUOTE ] I went there, ordered checks for about half the price of Intuit's, and was about to reply here with thanks. But AFTER they took my credit card info, they THEN said I have to fax or mail them voided checks and deposit slips. What a pain in the ass. I don't have a fax machine and mail is slow (and a bit of a hassle). And I don't have any deposit slips--do they expect me to go to the bank and get one? I sent them a message, we'll see if they respond. Fooook, it looked good for a minute there. |

online banking bitches [/ QUOTE ] Correct. I've written like 5 checks this year. The next time I'll need to order more is in like 20 years, if checks still exist then. |

Re: Help Me Order Blank Checks
Just out of curiosity, what do you write that many checks for nowadays? I write like 1 check every three months. Although, I am in college and still live in the dorms, so I don't really have monthly expenses like that.

[/ QUOTE ] Besides the very rare payment by check at a store that doesn't take credit cards, I use checks to pay credit card bills and my cable bill, because their online payment system if f'd up. All others, though, I pay online. 250 checks will last me several years. |
