Default AJo OTB

WSOP, limit. No converter.

Villain has been running well, and seemed good at first, but has been making some donkish plays. He floated a CO open earlier OTB, and has cold-called opens in the sb and donked tough looking flops. He also opened KTs UTG, and has been opening a bit, but generally showing down solid hands. I've been cold-decked and running ok.

I open and he calls in bb.

Flop is JT7r, he donks, i call.

Turn is Q, he bets, i raise, he calls.

River is 4, he checks, bet or check behind? How's the rest look

Some side notes: I busted pretty earlier after i finally got a hand (KK) and ran into AA (by same villain as hand 1), and the competition generally wasn't that great. No celebs at the table. Side games (20/40) at Rio were real good, much better than 15/30 Wynn/ Bellagio. More to come in a full trip report, maybe.

Yeah, if this hand doesn't belong here, whatever.

we need a little more info. Like what you have, and your position.

also, which event was this? i'm thinking about playing the 3k next week but haven't decided.. I'll definitely check out the 20 at the rio though if it's that good.

he has AJo OTB (i was confused at 1st as well)

FWIW, i would probably bet here. I can't imagine him ever bluff-check/raising a worse hand here, so best case scenario is that he calls with an AT or a KJ or something like that. I think you have him beat enough of the time here to try to get an extra bet out of him.

I'm not sure why we wouldn't be betting our AJo otb (that's for you jba). Seems like we are very likely to have the best hand here.

My psychic powers tell me he had AJo and he was on the button.

How'd I do?

As far as the hand itself, I'd probably bet the river. Did he seem like the type who would've 3-bet the turn with TP?

EDIT: you guys are QUICK on this forum...

It was the 1500 that started today. The play was weak tight, donkish. One older guy that seemed good and one younger kid who was def. good, rest were so-so. The rio game was really hilarious albeit it was only one table. I thought i was sitting at party .5/1.

I don't know why you didn't raise the flop when you had Top Pair Best Kicker nor why you raised when a Queen came on the turn and you no longer had Top Pair on the board.

I'm inclined to check the river through. He might have two pair and if he's smart he won't call with anything you beat anyway.

I'd usually just gas the flop here. I don't know what the question is on the river - easy bet.
