Die Hard Trilogy Poll
I'd like to see how these rate in order. Choose how you would rank them from best to worst.

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Poll
3, 1, 2 imo. First two can be interchanged but I like Samuel L.. Second one is CLEARLY the worst.

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Poll
2nd is clearly the worst of the 3, it doesnt have the same buddy cop element going on as Bruce and the Family Matters guy and then Bruce and Mr. Snakes On a Plane.
The 1st actually has dramatic purpose throughout the entire movie intertwined well with the action, #2 focuses more so on just the action and just doesnt feel right compared to the other 2, and Vengence has all the right elements to make it a great action/buddy cop flick |

Re: Die Hard Trilogy Poll
I'd give Die Hard 1 a 10/10. One of the best Hollywood action blockbusters of all time. Die Hard 2: Die Harder is a 5/10. It doesn't hold up at all on repeated viewings, and Dennis Franz is annoying. Die Hard With a Vengeance has some entertaining scenes, but the plot is retarded and Jeremy Irons is a disappointingly bad villain. Nobody can live up to Alan Rickman -- I give that one a 6/10. So it's 1, 3, 2 for me.
I wish they had stopped after the first one. |

glad you started this poll. did you see the "Sequels" thread? I couldn't believe people were sayind 2 was the best. [/ QUOTE ] In that thread, I brought up the movie. I didn't say it was "the best", I said it was "my favorite". The thread was about sequels that you liked that maybe others didn't, and this poll proves I was right. And as said there, after repeated viewing there is just too much down time in the original for me to like it better. Even if I doubt that jet fuel can burn through snow, into the air, and up "Mr. Falcon"'s ass, I still enjoyed the sequel more. The third one just felt so much different to me than the other two that it almost doesn't belong in the conversation. |

The thread was about sequels that you liked that maybe others didn't, and this poll proves I was right. [/ QUOTE ] I thought that thread was about "underrated" sequels. I don't think underrated means "stuff you like that nobody else does", I think it's more like "stuff that a lot of people like that for some reason the general population does not think very highly of". the only way Die Hard 2 can be underrated is if you remove it from the context of the Die Hard trilogy, and compare to some other meh action movie. as 86% of the people think it's the worst of the 3, I don't think it can possibly be underrated when compared to the others |

[/ QUOTE ] Meh, I forgot the context of the original thread and think we're sliding into a semantics argument. I realize people are going to like what they like, and I liked the second movie the best, even if it's not "the best" by consensus. |
