Shorted pot
I was playing 15/30 at the Wynn and had an interesting situation. At the start of the hand the button was turned around talking to someone and not following the action. A few people limped, I limped, and the bb checked. As the dealer brought in the bets he announced “five players”, except that there were actually six of us with cards and I hadn’t seen the button ever act on his hand. I counted the pot and, sure enough, there was only $75 in it. But by the time I realized all this, the flop was already out one of the blinds had bet. At this time the button turned around and it was clear from his reaction that he didn’t even know he was in the hand, but he quickly figured out what had happened and didn’t say anything.
Would any of you speak up here? FWIW, this was a good game and I wasn’t sure it was worth the inevitable delay for a floor decision and so I decided to just kept quiet. Also, what would the decision be here?
