(If only certain people can make "Official" tourney threads, I'm sorry/didn't know/lock this then)
Leaders ---- Greg Raymer $13,000 Phil Ivey $6,000 --- Greg Raymer doubles his stack to over $13,000 less than 20 minutes into the tournament. On a flop of JT6, Raymer and his opponent go all-in. Raymer shows AA, but his opponent shows TT. Raymer turns the A for a better set and the river is the 5. Raymer wins the pot and becomes the early chipleader in the tournament. |

Good day for poker stargazing. The $5000 buyin is keeping out the riffraff so every table is starstudded. Deepest crowd is at Helmuth's table, which is right on the rope; lotsa folks hoping for a glimpse of an upclose and personal Helmuth rant.

Danneman and Raymer Sparring
Greg Raymer raises to $525 in middle position, and Steve Danneman reraises to $1525. Raymer asks him for a total chip count, then makes the call. Raymer starts the hand with $15,000 and Danneman $5,650. After a flop of 9diamond;7heart;3heart;. Raymer places a stack of twenty pink $500 chips into the middle of the table, enough to put Danneman all in. Danneman says, "You totally missed...you totally missed!" Raymer responds with, "Yeah, but so did you," as Danneman mucks his Aclub;Kclub; face up. |
