Default Turn the nuts- please advise

Live $2-5 NL at Harrahs KC

In the cutoff ($425) with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

2 limpers to me (1 EP 1 MP) I limp, Button limps, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop ($30) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

EP bets $20, MP calls, I call, Button raises to $60, SB and BB fold, EP calls, MP calls, I call.

Turn ($270) 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

EP bets $80, MP folds, I call, Button raises to $180, EP calls, I call

River ($810) 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

EP checks, I check, Button bets $80, EP calls, I call

Question: I had seen button raise with small pocket pairs in LP 2x in the last hour, so I did not put him on a set (correctly). If I am confident in this read, was I right to not push the turn?

Showdown:

EP shoes flush, king high
I show flush, ace high
Button shows full house, tens full of sevens

If you reraise on the turn it pretty much spells out big flush, but I think it is worth scaring out all the non flush hands folding to get a chance to stack a smaller flush or mabye getting a set to make a crying call. So I recomend a turn reraise. I play at these games at Harrahs in kc. If you could tell me who the players involved are i could probally give better advice.

I think with all this money going in on the turn, you should probably raise (i don't know how deep everyone is, and thats pretty important)...i would be somewhat worried about a set or some funky two pair redrawing since it seems insane that all these players could have the flush. Also another [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the river might kill your action.

mmm you should have raised the turn... you're last to act and can get some more money in the pot before seeing the river

The button had about $200 behind after the turn bet.

I was 50/50 on a smooth call or push, the small chance he had an overpair swayed me toward the call.

Don't remember buttons name, he was 27 yrs old with long dark curly hair, wearing a red sox cap. Said afterward he was raising for info.

Perhaps I should have raised the turn, but certainly not for this reason.

This is an excelent reason. You've got the nuts. You expect to get called and you know you are ahead. This is a value raise. Made to get more money in the pot when you are ahead.

Am I expecting the button to be scared off on the river?????

If he's going to call a value bet here, why not wait to see if the river pairs the board before pushing?
