50nl JJ
The average stack is ~ 40
I have 50 I pick up black jacks on the button and raise to 2 BB calls Flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB leads for .50, and I raise to 3.... Thoughts? Is this somewhat standard? I have a hard time interpreting those weak leads |

Is this somewhat standard? [/ QUOTE ] Yup. A minbet usually means "I have a draw/weak made hand - please let me draw/go to sd cheap". Some players also do this with monsters, but this is less common. The only way to deal with them is raise, raise, raise. I frequently check raise with any two cards when HU against a minbetter. Make a note of who folds to a raise and who calls you down with top pair no kicker. Be wary of flop texture. Avoid raising if you have KK, and flop is A73 rainbow. Raise with any two if HU and flop is 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |

Re: 50nl JJ
If someone leads very small into me and I was going to bet, I'll raise almost every time, just as if I was opening the betting. Most of the time, it is a mediocre attempt at a blocking bet made by a draw or small pair. If he 3-bets, he was obviously trying to trap you in a very questionable way, and you can let the hand go, much in the same way that you would had he simply check-raised you (of course, a CR wouldn't mean a fold 100% of the time, but most of the time, depending on opponent).

Re: 50nl JJ
Raise his bet, I wouldn't consider your 1/2 pot raise as a real raise. Raise it to 4,5$, it's a big difference.
