Default PokerStars rolls out initial versions of Razz and HORSE

Hi folks -
Yes, we have taken the first external step to dealing Razz, HORSE, and HOSE on PokerStars.

You can download the test site software here:

http://www.testpokerstars.com

It's play money only and you need a play money password. If you click on "I forgot my password" when you log into the test site, it'll send you a new play money password (your regular PokerStars.com password won't be affected).

Here's the mini-FAQ:

Q: When will HORSE and Razz be available for real money?

A: When we're sufficiently comfortable that it will be completely solid in a real money environment. I don't want to make any predictions about that yet until we've seen how the initial test phase goes.

Q: Will other mixed games be available?

A: We'll have to see. At least initially, it will be HORSE and HOSE.

Q: Will you be doing a HORSE event at the WCOOP?

A: Almost certainly. Details are TBD, but WCOOP was one of the major reasons we're rolling it out now.

Q: How does this relate to the beta site and resizable tables and themes?

A: It doesn't. You can download the beta and play for real money with the client here:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/download/beta.html

That beta lets you have resizable tables and themes (some of which I think are very well suited for multi-tabling). The beta is a "skin" into the regular PokerStars real money games.

Please do try out both the test site and beta sites and send your feedback to:

beta@pokerstars.com

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Another new feature of this beta is if you get caught cheating, they'll give you a $500 bonus as long as you promise not to do it again.

Security is a #1 priority at PokerStars!

Lee:

If I multiaccount the play money games, will you offer me a window of amnesty and allow me to consolidate all my play chips onto one account?

I am no big fan of HOSE. If on the other hand you introduced HOES...

Very nice. Small nit-pick:[ QUOTE ]
themes (some of which I think are very well suited for multi-tabling).

[/ QUOTE ]Those themes could be a lot better for multitabling, and now that .dat files are being used for images (unlike party's one-click editable .jpg files) it's way too complicated for me to implement my own personal theme. So for me, the themes got worse with beta.

any word on draw games? such as triple draw and lowball? When horse rolls out it will make me play more at your site.

Also will these be available as SnGs?
