Of course many of us get a mix, but what is the primary style of sushi you order?

Question - can you get mail order sushi? I spend a fortune on sushi at the upscale grocer by my house. I did a quick search on the net but didnt find anyone.

btw - nigiri is the only way to go and tako is the best.

I probably go about 60% maki, 30% nigiri, 10% sashimi/temaki.

I generally get all maki but its mostly because I'm afraid of super fishy flavors. My favorite roll is the California roll but I'm looking to expand my horizons and try more new stuff.

I prefer to eat all sashimi, but it is pricy to get full that way!

i like nigiri and sashimi...maki's okay but I hate temaki because I always have a hard time biting through the seaweed.

Nigiri, mainly. If you want you can just peel the fish slab off the rice and have the rice 'separate' between bites of raw fish, or not. I kind of like that.

Side stuff is important. There are usually different types of seafood rolls, or eel or octopi, small bowl of soup, or other exotic consumables to supplement the raw fish diet.

By the way, I like lots of ginger root and I find it annoying when some places skimp on this required condiment.

im a big sashimi person, but i tend to eat 3 types of sashimi (tuna, yellow, salmon) but when it comes to maki ill eat half the menu. STRANGE!
