The answer is obviously supposed to be The Godfather, but I decided to vote for Major League instead

I try to forget that I ever saw the second one and the third one is decent but has nothing to do with the original. The only good part of the sequels is Bob Uecker. I voted for Star Wars (originals of course) |

Well, you left out the Mad Max and Austin Powers, which is fine - they'd never win.
But leaving out the Dollars Trilogy (Fistful of Dollars/Few Dollars More/The Good the Bad and the Ugly) was a bit of a slip. EDIT: And Alien/Aliens/Alien 3 |

[ QUOTE ] The answer is obviously supposed to be The Godfather [/ QUOTE ]Easy question! [/ QUOTE ] It's supposed to be best trilogy, not best original and sequel with sucky finale. If the criteria is evenness of the films, not 2/3 good, 1/3 okay or bad, then the answer may be LOTR. And I say this as someone who finds LOTR bloated and boring, though I know I'm in the minority. |

Fair enough.
And try and catch the new version of Alien 3. It's a really great film now, and whoever put it together did a fab job. |

I also think Rick Vaughn's Right Guard commercial and Jay Leno appearances were great. It can't really hold up with the original, obviously...But Major League 2 holds its weight when viewed as its own entity, I think. |
