Rumor: Klinsmann to Coach US Soccer Team

Not sure if there's anything to this, but there are rumors floating around Los Angeles that Juergen Klinsmann could be the next coach of the US national team. He lives in nearby Orange County and this is probably the main reason for the speculation.

How would you guys feel about this? He's done a very good job with the German team, IMO. He's got the name and the reputation to draw some level of domestic interest in soccer, and he would certainly have the respect of the US players.

He also seems to bring a more offensive tactical approach to the game, which I think would benefit the US tremendously. I can't think of a better candidate for the job, this would obviously be a huge boost for the US team if it were to actually happen.

I don't think this statement means a whole lot at this point. Of course he's going to say this with Germany still in contention for the World Cup.

That's not what he said. Basically, Klinsmann was asked if he was interested in coaching the US team, and he responded by saying that he was a little more interested in trying to win the World Cup at the moment
