Bands/Musicians You Love But Who You Would Not Recognize
Name some favorite bands or musicians who you would not recognize in real life. For bands, you only have tobe able to recognize one band member for them to be disqualified. Like, I would not recognize the bass player for Radiohead but I would recognize Thom Yorke so they don't count.
I absolutely love Belle and Sebastian and have all their CD's (in fact, I have some fan DVD they prodiced a few years ago) and have seen them in concert. Yet, I absolutely would not recognize a signle member of the band if they walked in front of me on the street. |

Almost everyone post 2001 when I started ripping CDs and stopped reading lyrics and liner notes and such.

Re: Bands/Musicians You Love But Who You Would Not Recognize
It'd be shorter to list the ones I would recognize. It'd be the few I've seen in concert, plus Neko Case, plus truly iconic figures that have been playing for decades (example, Bob Dylan) or Top 40 figures like Kanye.
I'd probably recognize 20-30% of my favorite bands/artists. |

I don't think I'd be able to recognize very many artists in real life.

Re: Bands/Musicians You Love But Who You Would Not Recognize
In 1989, the members of Pink Floyd supposedly got out of a limo that was stuck in traffic with people leaving their concert and walked back to their hotel (among some of their fans) and weren't recognized.
I think this may have happened in Pittsburgh. |
