Default The Mariners are above .500!

Despite the best efforts of terrible manager Grover, the M's are hotter than hell, thanks in large part to the ineptitude of the NL West. Adrian Beltre is actually starting to hit the ball, and Sexson has recently awakened from a seasonlong slumber as well.

I am trying not get excited; I am waiting for the other shoe (in the form of a 7 game losing streak) to drop. Still- June was a fun month. Been several years since I could say that.

That would make them the only team in the NL West to do so.

In fact, in honor of the past two weeks' glories, I propose realignment which would place the M's in the NL West, with a highly unbalanced schedule that consists entirely of intradivisional games.

Likewise, if the Mariners were to in fact take the Rockies to the aformentioned pwnville, they would be the only team in the AL West to do so.

Well, they are the only AL West team who've punched tickets to that destination for everyone else in your division...

Hey did anyone watch the begining of this game on TV? Is there something wrong with Dave Niehaus? His right hand was shaking a lot. I am wondering if he is developing Parkinsons disease.... He looked a lot older than I remembering him being as well. They cut away from Dave and showed some random graphic before the game while he was talking. I hope he is ok. Classic voice and announcer.

Should be a fun series. I can't remember the last time I've actually wanted to watch Rockies games all the way into July. I'm sure you guys feel the same way about the M's.
