Default Suggested Buyin

I was curious as to what the recommended buyin is for a cash game table, both full and shorthanded, limit and NL, and Internet and B&M. 10BB? 50BB?

Sorry if this is covered somewhere, I looked through the Beginner forum and did a search for keywords I could think of but did not find any relevant posts.

I thought I had read some info on it before but cannot remember where.

Default Re: Suggested Buyin

Usually NL games spread in casinos will have a maximum buy-in and a minimum buy-in. I usually buy for the maximum, but some people prefer to buy short. You may find uncapped games, such a at the Wynn poker room. In those cases, I like 100 big blinds, so for the 1-3 blinds game, I'd buy for $300, but it really is a matter of your personal preference.

For limit games, I like to buy 25 big bets. So, for 10/20 hold'em, I would buy in for $500. It doesn't really matter as long as you have enough to cover all the betting you may want to do.

For either game, you can rebuy between hands. BM/Internet and short/full doesn't really matter to me.
