If anyone else heads over I'll probably be stopping by the PokerStars booth and in that general area for a while. I'll be wearing a maroon t-shirt that says 'Biltmore Estate' and generally in clothes that look very similar to the picture in this online interview:

Here's an Understatement...Juanda was in a Big Pot
The flop reads AAK and John Juanda checks to his opponent. The player bets the pot and Juanda casually calls. On the turn is the 5. Juanda checks again and his opponent fires out $4000. Juanda comes over the top all-in for another $1850. After a few moments, the opponent checks his cards again and throws them into the muck. Juanda takes down the pot which totals $21000 and that's where he stands right now atop the leaderboard.

On the very first hand, I had KQ in the BB. Folded to SB who checks. I pot. He calls the 75. KQx flop. check, 150, call. x turn. check, 250, call. x river. Check, bet 600, call. He called off more than 2/3rds of his chips with KT. I could not believe my luck. Looks like Gavin had even better luck.

I start the hand with 1450, him slightly more. He raises to 75 UTG and I reraise to 225 in the cutoff, and he calls. Flop is the aforementioned J63 rainbow. He checks, I bet 275, he calls. At this point, I am pretty sure my hand is good so I want to get all the chips in the middle.

Turn is a three, putting two diamonds on board, he checks, I Check, trying to make my hand look like a missed AK/AQ, and to induce him to bluff (or to call a bet from me) on the river with what I expect isn't a very strong hand (I expected he had something like 77).

River is a 9, completing the flush. He bets 600 I raise for the rest of what Ive got, and he calls with the flush.

How many events are you planning on playing this year?
