you really have to bet at this on the flop IMO..not too much..but bet

that flop hits every hand except a lower PP..and if it's 99 he'll probably stay along cause he's got a straight draw..

and ok I see he had 33 and probably would have folded..but even with a lower PP you will still get called every so often or even reraised at this level...

as for preflop..I don't really like building this pot OOP, but with the opener just miniraising.. maybe it's best..

but bet the flop and start building a pot

i dont like the reraise pf OOP. and i would have bet the flop because of the potential split and the dias. checking the turn was really bad with the board paired.

Against a min-raise from the BTN, I think a reraise is totally appropriate from SB.

You need to bet that flop like you own it.

how so this early. regardless of the size of the raise he is stil OOP and if he just calls he dont give away the strength of his hand since he is likely going to have to hit the flop to proceed any further anyways. re-raising pf puts hero in tough spot commiting too many chips OOP pf with a drawing hand.

I'm fine with the preflop raise. Out of position or not, it's a donk raise from the button. You'll take this down a lot right now.

As for the flop, because I raised preflop, I'm cbetting this. This flop hits a lot of hands. Get the chips in there, build this pot.

call isn't criminal for sure, personally i like a reraise. there's the issue of the BB getting now 5:1 on the call, which is one issue that reraising typically resolves. also, a steal-type hand that decides to call your reraise will almost certainly fold any whiffed flop to your cbet lead.
