FT live game - is this a tough decision?
£50 freeze-out, south-central england, 26 runners
4 pay - £600,£400,£200,£100 7 left 5 of us are small stacks blinds 700/1500 - no ante approx chip counts : SB 30,000 BB (HERO) 10,200 UTG 5,500 UTG+1 55,000 MP1 8,000 CO 9,000 BUTTON 6,100 SB posts 700 BB (HERO) posts 1500 UTG 5,500 all-in folded to button BUTTON 6,100 all-in folded to hero pot is now 13,800 HERO Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ?? my read on utg is that he's not a good enough player to realise that he may have to push any two, i think he's got an above-average hand my read on button is that he is a good player and i think he'd only call there with a well-above-average hand i have 8700 - i would need to call 4600 into a 13800 pot - exactly 3:1 pot odds i'm 99.99% sure i'm behind, possibly with about a 25% chance of winning i think it's an easy fold, or an obvious call - can't decide which - any thoughts? do i join in the battle of the small-stacks? is this just a maths question? if it is - how do i factor in the payout structure? |

Re: FT live game - is this a tough decision?
I think its an easy fold. Let them fight for this pot and you'll try for the next one. Id rather you open push w Q6 then call two alliners. You only have about 4 M's but I think you're better off waiting 2-4 hands and going allin blind then calling in this spot.

From my SNG experience this in a fold. Then push your 27o when you can open and suck out against TT.

Re: FT live game - is this a tough decision?
Depends on my mood, really. If I figure 3:1 odds and I figure to be AT LEAST even money - I call. You're too close to MP1 and CO to try to fold into money. If you call and lose - well, you're the shortstack and you'll have to deal with it, but if you call and win - you're leaving two short stacks to battle it out for the 4th while you are waiting for a hand...
