I predict an 8-0 win for England, with a hat-trick from Gary Neville and a brace from Paul Robinson

COME ON ENGLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND

8-0?! LOL. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] England fans.

Sounds like Portugal's top playmaker is out of this one. I'll call it England 2-1 in OT after Portugal plays a hell of a gutsy game.

2-0 Portugal, hopefully no one hands a ball at midfield to screw the rest of the team.

Hero: The best thing you have going for you is my England pick. I have got to be the worst prognosticator ever.

So in other words, England's going to outplay you up and down the pitch for long periods of the game, have winning goals called off for nonexistent fouls, and Portugal might escape with an undeserved lucky win? Yeah, that might make sense if it wasn't for the fact that you got 77% of your team disqualified for this match for the idiocy vs. Holland. Without Deco, no chance. England's due for a good game, and I think this is where they (finally) wake up. This is the first meaningful game in this tournament where England's playing a team that they'll respect, and you're going to see a huge difference in how they approach it.

3-1 England. If Portugal's lucky. England might not win this World Cup, but Portugal isn't going to be the team that sends them home.

You managed to write a huge post and not make even a tiny bit of sense.

EDIT: lol I got what you mean with that comment about legit goals being disallowed. Going blind are we?

Yeah, he was totally serious too. Note he has predicted a full-back getting a hat-trick and the goalkeeper scoring twice

Iuno. It's true that we generally only perform to our potential against quality opposition, but even so, the England that has turned up to this World Cup has had so little spark and looked so defensively inept at times that even if we raise our game 100% we aren't guaranteed to outclass Portugal. That's not to say that I'm certain we'll lose, but I think it will be very tough. There's the Scolari quarter-final curse to contend with, as well.
