After seeing stox video, $5/$10, A8o folded in BB
In stox's $5/$10 limit video he was in the BB with A8o.
UTG posted. and button raised, sb folded, Stox folded. By folding you lose 0.50 bb/hand Is calling here over the long run not going to lose you less? Ive been experimenting with calling a lot wider range than A8o, ($2/$4)in what would be a 3 way pot and the results are very impressive, actually winning, of course relatively low sample size, and to clarify Im playing A8-A2o and as a group they are winning. Is this going to turn out to be a long term leak?

I prefer 3 betting to folding. [/ QUOTE ] Me too (in a vacuum). But I woder if stox might have had some PT stats or any recall of previous hands to base his decision on, since everything is kinda marginal with this hand. I'd muck A2-A5o against almost any lineup.

Sometimes you'll get AA and you won't fold it, right? So you'd probably lose less than 0.5bb. Also, you'll lose a hell of a lot more than 0.5bb/h if you just start playing everything, vs a raise, I think. I could be wrong, of course.

By folding, you will get an entry of -(0.5) BB for that hand in poker tracker. If you called preflop and open folded every flop then you'd get -(1.0) BB for that hand in PT. He's asking if you call this hand preflop and play poker, will you make an improvement upon -(0.5) BB?

[/ QUOTE ] Because someone that posts UTG isn't folding? I don't want to make a huge pot with A8o, but I'm not ready to just throw it away to a guy probably raising at least a third of his hands.
