Common but tough spot: AK out of position
Villian is a solid TAG winning player in the 10/20 game. He's tighter than most tags though at 19/13. On the flop he very well could be raising a flush draw, set, air, AQ/AJ.

Re: Common but tough spot: AK out of position
Well obviously the decision is call or fold; raising here is not in any way good. It's all about his ranges/frequencies really; if he is, as you say, as loose in his raises that this will be air/spades/AQ/AJ enough, then just call and c/r ai on pretty much any non-spade turn (provided he's not so predictable/bad that he just checks behind turn a lot/gives up a lot of the time.). And well, you can fold against non-tricky players that will always cold call w/ AQ/AJ here as well as never/very rarely are raising w/ air. Versus most aggressive players I seldom fold here. As for the having the black ace, that does work against us a bit, since a lot of players will raise w/ AsXs here (and as such by us having the card it's one big group of holdings that we can eliminate from his raise-range), unless you are very aggressive/prone to bluff and will often fire a second bullet on the turn.
FWIW, I generally don't see many 19/13-players raise AQ/AJ (or air v often for that matter) in this spot, but this one could of course be an exception. Against predictable/bad players generally not following through on turn when called on flop, I call a lot more liberally obv. |

make it 1k [/ QUOTE ] There is basically no reason to do this. If he has spades he calls. If he has AJ/AQ he usually folds. I like a call, c/r ai on nonspade turn. Spade on the turn is a toughie, I would prolly lead a spade. HEK, your image is lag, right? |

I usually shove here.
Edit: Or make some sort of 3-bet. |
