What would you recommend?

I have been playing poker for about 3 years, have read several books and read this forum often. I play online a little and am looking to start playing more. I'm looking to make about $300-500 per week playing. I'm not looking to become a pro or anything, just looking to make a little extra.

Should I play SNGs or multi table cash games? If cash games, which level would you recommend with a $100 deposit and how many tables should I play at once? Are my goals reasonable? Also, which site would be best? I play on Full Tilt right now which I like.

Well, are you better at cash games than at tournaments? You should have a clue after three years.

You are planning to deposit $100, will you deposit more if you bust? If not I would'nt play a game higher than NL10.

Partypoker is a good site to play but so are a bunch of others. If you like Full Tilt I'd stay there.

Well the first thing you will need to get is PokerTracker... It costs $55, but if you REALLY cannot afford it, I'm sure you can get it for signing up as an affiliate somewhere. Your next best bet would be to Bonus Whore for a while and build up a reasonable bankroll so that you can play 50NL or something, and then from there you will be able to make $300-$500 per week...

Thanks for the replys. Here's my plan. Do some bonus whoring to get my roll up at least over $300. Grab Pokertracker, which it looks like everyone uses to improve and then start playing maybe some limit 1/2 (2 tables) or 50NL, while continuing to read and post on 2+2.

$300 isn't nearly enough for 1/2 or 50NL, unless you're not opposed to reloading if you have a run of bad luck. Play half those stakes until your BR is $600 or so, and be willing to move back down to 50-1/25NL if you drop to $400.

Bonus whoring should be a major part of your earnings plan for quite a long time-- many bonii are worth 3BB/100 at 1/2.

Get the 1000-hand free trial of PT *now*. The sooner you can analyze your game, the faster you'll hit $600. $300/week is quite a bit of money; how many hours are you planning to play?

Just put $100 in Full Tilt. I'm thinking .10/.25 NL or $5 SNGs, maybe a combo of the two. I don't think I'm going to multi table to start out. Look better?

Looks fine for $30-$50/week- not trying to bust your bubble, just being realistic.
