Your opponent might have made the flush, but he also might have something like a weaker Ace and decided to bluff when the 3rd flush card fell.

He could even have a hand like K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]x and decided to bet with the nut flush draw.

So, I would also have called down after BB donked the turn, and hoped for the best.

grunch
I would raise the turn but fold to a 3-bet. I'd also probably value bet the river but that is a bit more read dependent.

Well I admit I have been overusing it a bit but the idea is that he will 3-bet me if he has me beat and I can release. If he doesn't 3 bet me I am most likely still ahead and getting value for my hand.

Personnally, I would rather have him bluff off his chips, unless I have a read that he will call down after being played back on when he bluffs at a scare card. Also, I want to see a sd here, and your line could have me folding against something like A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Good point. Perhaps this play is suited more for a straightforward player who will only 3-bet with the nuts.
