Default The Ultimate Gamble

Someone hands you a pistol with a 6 bullet chamber after putting one bullet in. He tells you to spin it around. He offers you 1:1 on all the money you possess that you WILL shoot yourself if you put the pistol to your head and pull the trigger.

So essentially you are getting 1:1 pot odds on a 1:5 draw.

Do you call?

Never put your whole roll on the line on one decision. This is poor bankroll management.

A guy I went to college with actually did this. There are a ton of rumors but, most people believe gambling may have been involved.

You are an idiot if you do this.

CHEYENNE -- Police were investigating the shooting death of a Chicago man, apparently during a game of Russian roulette.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX, 31, died Saturday afternoon when he was shot in the head at a home in the 300 block of Arbor Lane. No arrests were made and none were likely, police Lt. Rob Korber said.

Two other people were home at the time. One of them allegedly handed Houston a loaded handgun, which he emptied of all but one bullet before pulling the trigger, Police Chief Bob Fecht said.

"Is that a suicide or an accidental shooting?" he said. "He was acting totally and completely alone. He held the gun himself, and the gun went bang."

Korber said police weren't sure how to classify the case, but Houston's parents insist their son was not suicidal.

"It clearly wasn't an act without risk," Fecht said. "The guy had to know."

A forensics investigation was planned.

AJ, what's it matter if you put your whole bankroll on the line if you are going to die if you lose?

(unless you have family/friends who you would rather inherit the $$$)

No. I don't have enough to my name to make it worth it.

I wasn't really referring to $$$. In the OP, bankroll = life.
